Chocolate Feast past and future

End of Feb Blog can be a little disconcerting as Christmas has just left us and we into the real year and that is as frighting as the thought it is only 10 months to Christmas. But do not lose heart my friends, Easter is just around the corner and I say 'Let the Chocolate celebration begin.'
Lovely food, chocolate, full of natures sweetest ingredients, sugar, cocoa, milk and lets not forget, chocolate does prevent heart attacks. That is a fact, I have never heard of anyone having a heart attack while enjoying natures finest confectionary.
I am sure that Chocolatiers all around the world are preparing Easter eggs and Easter Bunnies as I write. This last month we have seen several birthdays and as is the nature of birthdays we normally have birthday cake and chocolates, so I am sure we all need March as a break from Chocolate.
Enough of this sweet indulgence. This reminds me when I asked Robert what was brown and sticky - he answered 'Poo'. He was only about 3!

Winter, cold and clear.

It has been a while since my last Blog and now is time for another. Walking on the beach at noon today, the sun low in the winter sky, brought out some lovely contrasts in colour, with a clear bright blue sky filling the background. I took these photographs, more for the exaggerated light then the beauty, cold air seems to touch the images.

Well this month well into its time and what a month it has been. Michael’s 21st was a full of fun, hours walking the aisles of odd stores looking for 21 gifts, each with its own meaning. For example we ordered a chocolate key with 21 on it and wrapped a penny so he would never be penniless. The penny was minted in 1994, so took some looking for.  The list goes on but you get the picture.

Daniel had his birthday on the 9th and I saw a photograph of him building a Lego Technic off road car. Seemed very complicated but I am told he took just under 5 hours and it was built. Pity I would have loved to sit and watch him build, doing things I used to do and thinking they are new. The month is not over as Mika’s birthday is on the 25th and last but not least Russell is the 24th.  Happy Birthday to all of you rather special people. You might be luck and get a chocolate pizza as Michael did.
